After being involved in a serious car accident on October 11, 2024 that left me with a traumatic brain injury and neck injury, I was overwhelmed and struggling with memory, comprehension, and speech. My initial experience with another large firm was extremely discouraging and left me feeling lost and unheard. From the moment I began working with Mr. Humphries at Lopez & Humphries, everything changed. He was patient, kind, and genuinely understanding of the cognitive challenges I was facing. He never rushed me. He intentionally scheduled extra time for in-person meetings because he knew it took me longer to process information and ask questions. He gave me his personal cell phone number so I could reach out anytime I needed clarification. I never once felt like a burden. He always listened carefully, respected my concerns, and followed my lead regarding the direction of my case. I’m extremely pleased with my experience with Mr. Humphries. My auto accident involved multiple other vehicles, with mine being the last car and I rear-ended someone. Normally in Florida this is a really difficult case to fight bc a rear-end is automatically that driver’s fault, but he was able to prove that I was not at fault and the driver ahead of me was in fact at fault. All of my questions and concerns were addressed promptly by him or his paralegal and I was given timely updates when I requested them. He was also able to get me more money in my pocket for my injuries and lost wages than we had originally anticipated. Highly satisfied and I definitely recommend this law office to anyone else dealing with injuries from an auto accident!

My wife was in a serious car accident. My wife was struck my a hit and run driver who was captured on a speed detection device traveling at approx. 80 miles and hour seconds before the crash. Mr. Humphries and his staff did an excellent job taking care of my wife. Every time we called we either spoke to someone at Lopez & Humphries or received a timely callback. I am seriously ill and my wife was badly injured during the crash. We were unable to deal with the issues caused by the car crash. After being denied SS Disability twice, I hired Lopez and Humphries. I had found out I was denied twice by social security, without them ever requesting one record from my numerous doctors. I decided to hire them by word of mouth. I am so thankful I did. My case had seemed to speed up, records were being requested, and the ball seemed to be in our court for once. My mom just left Mr. Humphries office. He was extremely rude. She called their office and asked about a free consultation regarding workers compensation and the lady on the phone was nice and her an appointment for today because she was surprised that my mom was being jerked around by the insurance company and her employer for the last month and that they could help file a petition for benefits. When she arrived Mr. Humphries was in a bad mood and after she filled out pages of details and offered her own notes for him to copy and review he slid a paper over to her that said he would get 25% of her benefits, she explained that was too high and she wouldn't be able to live. Once he heard that, he dropped the stack of papers in front her, stood up and said, "When you're serious about getting a lawyer and your benefits come back, I have a trial to prepare for." and walked out of the room. Unless you're going bring $$$$ into his office I would advise you to look elsewhere.
